Vesper Nights 2024

VESPER NIGHTS! EPISODES 1-5

Vesper Nights was a five-part monthly series hosted by Solid Rock SDA Church of Orlando from July to December 2024, designed as a welcoming, faith-centered space for youth and young adults to explore life’s big questions. Episodes were based on real-life questions that young people had and turned into programs.

Here’s a full summary of the series:
From July through December 2024, Vesper Nights offered a refreshing, casual Friday evening experience every third Friday of the month. This innovative series was created to engage youth and young adults in meaningful, unfiltered conversations about faith, life, and their walk with God.

Each session featured a blend of open mic segments, live music, interactive Q&A, and opportunities for fellowship and connection.
Attendees were encouraged to come as they were - whether dressed up or straight from work - and were welcomed into a relaxed, inclusive environment.

The events also included a Children’s Corner for kids aged 5–12, staffed by Sterling Certified volunteers who provided age-appropriate programming and snacks. However, the final two episodes of the year were designed to be family-friendly, allowing children and teens to participate in the main sessions.

A unique feature of the series was the anonymous question submission form, which allowed participants to ask heartfelt or difficult questions without fear of judgment. These questions were addressed live by guest speakers, including the featured guest for the final episode, Oksana Tademy, on December 20th.

Vesper Nights was more than just a series—it was a movement to create a safe, spiritually enriching space for young people to connect, reflect, and grow. The program was supported by community donations, which helped provide snacks, materials, and future programming.

Stay tuned to see what we'll do next as God leads!

FAQs

What is Vesper Nights? It's a brand new series recurring every 3rd Friday of each month. A casual Christian Friday night event catering to youth and young adults, answering the tough questions you want answers to. Snacks, open mic, mingling, unfiltered conversation, Q&A, and music! We also have snacks and a Children's Corner with Sterling certified volunteers.

What should I wear? We say come as you are! Whether you're just getting off of work in your uniform and swinging by, or if you had time to get dressed up, we welcome you!

What about my kids? Kids are definitely welcome! We have a Children's Corner tailored to children aged 5-12 years old. Our enthusiastic Sterling Certified (background checked) teachers genuinely enjoy working with kids and will treat them with utmost care. The kids will be served snacks, but you can also send snacks with them if you prefer.

While we are inside of the main sanctuary, your child(ren) will enjoy a kid-friendly version of the program, with topics specific to them.

Running late? No problem! You can bring them in anytime.

You can also choose to keep your child(ren) will you during the program if you prefer.

  • The last 2 episodes of 2024 will not include the Children's Corner because the topics are appropriate for all ages, including kids and teens!

Mother's Room

If your little ones need care during service, you are welcome to use our soundproof Mother's Room (for both moms and dads). It's right outside the Sanctuary doors to the left, and always open and available. You will still be able to see and hear the service in there for as long as you need.

Inside is a changing table with wipes, a crib, a desk and chairs for toddlers, and couches for parents, nursing moms, and kids to relax on. There is also a bathroom within the room. Our cleaning crew thoroughly sanitizes the Mother's Room from top to bottom every week before services.

When I give, where do the funds go?  First, we thank you for giving! Any funds received will go to covering snacks, food, and programming for future Vesper Nights and events. You can give in person or at CashTag  $VesperNightsFridays

Where's the restroom? When leaving the Sanctuary, the Ladies' Restroom is immediately to the Right, just past the balcony entrance and water fountain. The Men's Restroom is straight ahead just past the Welcome Desk on the Right side. Both restrooms are labeled for quick discovery. Both are wheelchair accessible.

How about parking? We have lots of free parking. There are around 6 disabled permit parking spots, and space for 100+ cars. Entrances are also wheelchair accessible.

Do you serve snacks? Yes, feel free to stop in the lobby and grab one on your way out after Vesper Nights. We just humbly ask that you discard your trash so those arriving at church for morning services can enjoy a clean church and parking lot.
