Pastor Stephen Stewart
Stephen Stewart, a native of Kingston Jamaica, migrated to the United States at the age
of 7, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 21, he accepted the call of
Jesus, and became a baptized member of the East New York Seventh-Day Adventist
Church, in the East New York section of Brooklyn.
He has served the local church in various capacities, including that of First Elder. He
worked in the mechanical engineering field for 16 years, as a design engineer. In 2002
he answered the call to full time ministry, and moved to Berrien Springs Michigan to
pursue a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University. He completed his Master of
Divinity degree in 2004, and began his pastoral ministry in the Florida Conference in
2005.
Since that time, Pastor Stewart has served as Associate Pastor of the Maranatha SDA
Church in Miami Gardens, Senior Pastor of Covenant SDA Church in Pembroke Pines,
and Senior Pastor of First SDA Church of West Palm Beach. In 2017 he accepted the
call to serve as the Associate Director of Pathfinder and Adventurer ministries for the
Florida Conference. He served in that capacity for eight years. In August of 2025, he
accepted the call to return to pastoral ministry as the Senior Pastor of the Solid Rock
SDA Church in Orlando, and was installed on October 4, 2025.
He is married to the lovely Rosalyn Stewart, and together they have 3 young adult sons
and one daughter-in-law, Stephen Jr. and his wife Shekirah, Sherwin, and Shawn.
Pastor Stewart’s desire is to be a living witness for Jesus Christ.
